What is the practice schedule?2023 Spring Practice Schedule:
Practices will begin Monday, January 9th for 7/8th grade team.
Practices will begin Monday, Janary 23rd for K-6th grade teams.
Kinder - 2nd grade team will only practice on Mondays at Alden Bridge Sports Park (ABSP) from 5:30-6:30pm.
3rd-8th grade teams will practice Mondays and Fridays at Alden Bridge Sports Park (ABSP) from 5:30pm -7pm.
7/8th grade team will practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Alden Bridge Sports Park (ABSP) from 5:30-7pm.

January 28-29 - Aggieland Classic Tournament (7/8th grade team only), at Texas A&M
February 11, 2023: Woodlands Playday "ChillLaxin", Alden Bridge Sports Park, all day, ALL teams - VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED!
What are the 2023 Spring Registration Fees?
Our Girls Junior High Lacrosse club is a not for profit organization. Your fees go to pay the following expenditures: Field Rentals, Referee Fees, Team Supplies, End of Season party, all tournament fees, team registration fees, office expenses, mini storage unit for field equipment, advertisement and coaches training.
We have tried to adjust registration fees to more accurately represent activities. We will practice in the fall, have a couple of scrimmages and attend various tournaments. Typically, in the spring, we have more games and tournaments so registration is higher.

Not included in the Registration Fee but required: Uniform, Goggles, Mouth Guard, Girls Lacrosse Stick, and a US Lacrosse registration number.
What are the different teams?
- Competitive & Developmental 7th & 8th Grade Recreational Team
- Competitive & Developmental 5th & 6th Grade Recreational Team
- 3rd & 4th Grade Developmental Team with some Competitive Games
- Kinder, 1st & 2nd Grade Developmental Team
What is required/needed to register?
- ALL TEAMS REQUIRE a US Lacrosse number active for the entire season. Go to www.Uslacrosse.org to join. You can not register if your US Lacrosse number is not valid for the entire season.
- 7/8th Grade Team players must have a physical form completed by a medical doctor IF REQUIRED by your school district. Blank physical forms are available on our Document's Page. Please make sure that physicals are dated April 15, 2022, or later, so that the athlete will be in good standing for the entire 2022-2023 school year.

- Please note that the registration process is not complete until all paperwork is turned in to our secretary. Players will not be allowed to participate in practice or games until the registration process is complete.

What is the difference between a Playday and a Tournament?
Playdays are entire days of scrimmages. Teams generally play short 25 minute games with a small break between each scrimmage. There is a set number of games to be played and score is not taken or tracked. There is no elimination and no "winner" of a playday. These days are completely developmental and help the team learn how to play a game. The idea is to play a lot of short games to give all girls ample playing time.
Tournaments are entire day(s) of competitive games. They can follow many different formats from short 25 minute games to complete 60 minute games. There is a minimum of games guaranteed to be played and score is tracked and bracket play is played. There will be elimination and a "winner" of this event. These events generally do not guarantee playtime and substitution is done "as needed" and at the Coach's discretion.
What happens if it is raining or bad weather?
Practices: On Turf fields, practice will only be canceled if there is Lightening and Thunder. The decision is left to each individual team's coach(s) if practice will be canceled for inclement weather. You will be notified via the TeamSnap app. If lightening and thunder start during practice, it will be canceled immediately and players will need to be picked up immediately in accordance with The Woodlands Township rules that all players must immediately take shelter under a building or in a parent's car.
Events scheduled on grass fields -The Woodlands township determines field closures by 4pm. Once we are notified, we will notify parents via the TeamSnap app.
Games: A team email will be sent out as well as a message via the app as soon we are notified the event has been canceled. While we will do our best to notify everyone as quickly as possible, please realize these are usually short notices and some events may not be canceled until players have arrived at the venue.
